Sulawesi AdventureTours
Thammy Tours and Travel welcome you to Sulawesi. Sulawesi (which used to be known as The Celebes), oddly shaped like a scorpion or the letter K, is the third largest island in Indonesia. Straddling the ‘Wallace Line’ and the Equator, the island contains extraordinary landscapes. Rugged mist- covered mountains, primal tropical jungle, unique flora and fauna, emerald- green rice terraces and mysterious lakes dominate the interior and make for highly enjoyable trekking and bird watching.
White coral sandy beaches
Along the coast, dazzling white coral sandy beaches are fringed with coconut trees and scattered fishing villages. Divers and snorkellers find a paradise in the warm seas of the Togian Islands of central Sulawesi or the beaches of Bunaken and Manado in the north. White water rafting is found in the highlands of Toraja, and bird watchers and trekkers will find the Lore Lindu National park and Bada valley of central Sulawesi a most worthwhile visit.
